Installation Instructions:

  • Insert one end of the Wire Harness into the Power Kit.

  • Remove the cover of your mechanical chime.

  • Take a picture of the existing wiring for reference during installation

  • Loosen the screws and remove the wires. Then straighten the exposed end of the wires.

  • Insert an exposed end of the Wire Harness and one chime wire into the Wire Nut, and twist it tightly. Repeat with remaining wires.

I just installed the doorbell. It works well, but my mechanical chime no longer goes off when the doorbell rings. I checked the wiring, it is connected correctly. Any advice?

If you would like to install 2 chimes to one RemoBell S you will need to purchase an additional power kit from remoplus.co as each chime will need its own. Please email support@remoplus.co with your registered email address and a picture of your chime setup for further assistance.

Can two Remo S doorbells be used on 1 non mechanical chime?  If so is all that’s required is another power adapter can it be added inline with the existing power adapter and chime?  Is there a diagram that I could follow?

I believe I wired the power kit correctly to my mechanical doorbell; went through the instructions twice. But when I turn on the power at the breaker, the top solenoid makes a noise and becomes too hot to touch.

What if I don't have an existing doorbell and I buy a chime what parts do I need to make a compatible

Asked by: Smile
Hello, It's kind of hard because if you don't have an existing doorbell you would have to run all wires going through your house to your electric panel wherever that is located. I would recommend consulting a certified eletrican. Thank you.

I have 3 wires to my door bell chime. I installed the power adapter to one of the wires from the transformer and the other from the door bell. The power box is warm. The other wire comes from the door bell as well. Is this correct?
